BYU women’s soccer is ranked No. 8 in the 2017 preseason United Soccer Coaches poll (formerly the NSCAA Coaches poll).
In the 2016 NSCAA Coaches preseason poll, BYU was ranked No. 16. At the conclusion of the 2016 season, the Cougars were ranked No. 9 after falling to South Carolina in the third round of the NCAA tournament.
West Virginia claimed the No. 1 spot in the preseason poll followed by Stanford and Southern California.

BYU will face four top-25 teams this season, beginning with an exhibition game against No. 16 Oklahoma on Aug. 11. UCLA is ranked right behind BYU in the No. 9 spot. Utah and Colorado respectively claim the No. 20 and No. 25 spots.
The Cougars kick off their season Saturday at 7 p.m., with their Blue and White scrimmage.
