WEST BOUNTIFUL — The body of a West Bountiful man who went missing nearly two weeks ago was found Saturday.

Family friends on horseback and with their dogs discovered John Page's body in the Lakeside Mountains, Tooele County Sheriff's Lt. Ron Johnson said.

"At 9:10 a.m., our family was notified that a search team found Johnny's body. We are forever grateful for all of the thoughts and prayers on behalf of Johnny and our family. Our family has been overwhelmed with the amount of people searching for him," the family wrote on Facebook.

Page, 74, was last seen at the Maverik gas station on Parrish Lane in Centerville on July 24. His family reported him missing the next day. Authorities found his car July 30 near the Tooele and Box Elder county line in the Lakeside Mountains.

Search teams from Box Elder, Davis and Tooele counties spent several days scouring the mountain for Page.

"We can not thank everyone enough for sacrificing their time and resources in helping us bring our Dad home," the family wrote. "We are so thankful for the closure that the events of this morning brought our family. We know that our Grandpa Johnny has been reunited with his wife and is at peace."
