CORINNE, Box Elder County — Two teenage boys have died as a result of a head-on crash between two motorcycles that occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday.

Three boys, ages 14, 15 and 16, were riding two dirt bikes on a dirt road between two cornfields when the motorcycles collided.

The 15-year-old died at the scene and the other two teens were flown to hospitals. The 14-year-old was taken to Primary Children's Hospital but died shortly after arrival, according to the Box Elder County Sheriff's Office.

The 16-year-old remained hospitalized Monday at University Hospital after initially receiving care at Ogden Regional Hospital, but the sheriff's office did not have an updated condition.

The boys' names have not yet been released.

Neither motorcycle was equipped with a headlight, the sheriff's office reported. The younger teens were driving the motorcycles with the 16-year-old as a passenger. Both drivers were wearing helmets and there was no evidence of impairment, according to investigators.
