Morning links: Marcus Williams making a big impact as a rookie for Saints

Former Utah safety Marcus Williams has teamed with fellow rookie Marshon Lattimore to shore up the pass defense for the New Orleans Saints. Herbie Teope of the Times-Picayune profiled the duo in a story this week as the Saints prepare for Sunday's NFL playoff game against Minnesota.

Williams is second on the team with four interceptions and third in tackles with 73.

"I feel like I was going to come in here and do my job," Williams told the newspaper. "I never doubt myself. I always make sure I'm up to par with what everybody else is doing just because I want to be better than everybody else. That's just my job; I compete with everybody. I don't want anybody to be better than me."

The Advocate reported earlier this month that Williams relishes his role with the Saints.
