SPRINGVILLE — A Springville woman died after she was struck by a car on a poorly lit road Tuesday evening, authorities said.
A motorist could not see the 42-year-old Codi Lambresi, who was carrying a flashlight but was wearing dark clothing, Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon said in a statement.
Crews responded to the crash on Evergreen Drive about 7 p.m., Cannon said. They took Lambresi to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, where she died of her injuries.
"This area is a narrow, two-lane road that is not well lit," Cannon said.
Investigators do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the crash, Cannon added, though they still were reviewing evidence.
