It’s been 20 years since The Shops at Riverwoods opened for business and Saturday the outdoor pedestrian mall kicks off a 20th-anniversary celebration with a party for patrons.
From 6-8 p.m., the event serves as a welcome party for the six newest businesses to open there in addition to being an anniversary celebration.
The new businesses include:
- Rodizio Grill
- True Rest Float Spa
- The Crepery
- Moon's Rare Books
- Ike's Creamery
- Seven Brother's Hamburgers.
Live entertainment and giveawaysThere will be entertainment and giveaways in front of each new businesses, including Kathleen on the acoustic guitar at The Crepery, acrobats and stilt walkers at True Rest Float Spa, Caporeira Martial Arts Dancers in front of Rodizio Grill, Marissa Chase on the harp and balloon artistry at Moon's Rare Books, Polynesian dancers in front of Seven Brothers Hamburgers and a 1950s music disc jockey and swing dancers inside the new Ike's Creamery.
Left Shark (made famous as part of the Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show with Katy Perry) will visit and make the rounds to do giveaways every hour at each of the six businesses. In addition, 20 people will receive $20 toward their purchases throughout the evening.
Located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains, near Provo Canyon, The Shops at Riverwoods provides unique shopping and dining experiences. The development is set in a beautiful riverfront environment designed specifically with community in mind.
The public is invited. In addition to the entertainment, dining, shopping and giveaways, those attending the event can enjoy the plaza’s fire features and outdoor heating elements, which provide a warm ambiance for the festivities.
