Sandy Police Capt. Jeff Duval, left, and Deputy Chief Bill O'Neal, right, talk with Sandy Mayor Kurt Bradburn after Bradburn's swearing-in ceremony at the Hale Centre Theatre in Sandy on Tuesday. In addition to the ceremony in Sandy, oaths of office were taken on Tuesday in South Salt Lake, Riverton, Midvale, South Jordan, North Salt Lake and Murray. Officials in West Jordan, Provo and Taylorsville will be sworn in Wednesday, and Holladay will swear in its new officials Thursday. Bradburn, 35, beat six-term Sandy Mayor Tom Dolan, 74, with 58 percent of the vote to Dolan's 42 percent — despite the 24-year incumbent mayor outspending Bradburn 10 to 1.
