Clouds and haze from an inversion obscures parts of theSalt Lake Valley on Wednesday. Residents along the Wasatch Front should expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies for the rest of the week with highs in the middle 40s. However, air quality conditions will deteriorate as an inversion strengthens and the haze in the valley thickens. The Utah Division of Air Quality reports the air during the next three days will be unhealthy for sensitive groups. A storm should move into the Salt Lake area on Saturday, helping to clear the air. Because temperatures will be warm, expect rain in the valley before transitioning to a mix of rain and snow Saturday evening, with more snow overnight.
