The NBA community took note of the new Utah Jazz jerseys, and they received a mixed response.
On Tuesday night, the Utah Jazz debuted the “City Edition” uniforms, which are meant to represent Salt Lake City and Utah. Like much of the Beehive State’s southern region, the new jerseys are red, orange and yellow.

Vivint Arena’s court added a new feature, too, with the famous Moab Arch displayed near midcourt.
But did the jerseys and redesign go over well?
Plenty of people praised the new jersey and court, including the Utah Jazz.

Jazz City edition jerseys look ridiculously good on the new court.— Mark (@MarkW_E01) January 31, 2018
The jazz should just change their court and jerseys permanently— Drizzy Drake (@DrakeEll10) January 31, 2018
Snap verdict: I'm in on the Jazz new "City" uniforms.— Matt Winer (@MattWinerTV) January 31, 2018
How do I get the @utahjazz to send me a pair of game shorts?
Let me be clear. I would love this to be the Jazz new colors. This uniform would still be unique. Would have a white with the new colors, a black with new colors, the gold + this uniform. Just love that it is Utah. Love that it is unique. One person's opinion— David Locke (@Lockedonsports) January 31, 2018
New jazz jersey is wild!! Looks better than I thought with the matching home court— Trent (@TrentKyle) January 31, 2018
I like The Jazz new look. The gradient yellow to burgundy jerseys they're wearing are I hated the logo & colors before, it was ick.— AleyKat (@AleyKat510) January 31, 2018
Others had mixed emotions.
Me an hour ago: "Those Jazz jerseys are the ugliest I've seen since the 90s Nuggets"— Teeps (@SportsGuyRyan) January 31, 2018
Me, now: "I've never seen a more beautiful thing in my life!"
You know what? I'm just gonna say it.— Blake Lyman (@BLymanWarrior) January 31, 2018
The Jazz sunset jerseys have grown on me a lot tonight pic.twitter.com/eOkewn8tEd
The new jerseys certainly drew criticism.
First impression of the new jerseys: It looks like all the Jazz players have their shirts untucked.— Ben Dowsett (@Ben_Dowsett) January 31, 2018
Why do I have to like ugly jerseys to appreciate a beautiful place? I’ve been there. Incredible places.— Scott Van Pelt (@notthefakeSVP) January 31, 2018
Maybe the reason why the Golden State Warriors got blown out by the Utah Jazz was because they were distracted by the Jazz's ugly jerseys.— Vimal (@VimalBharadwaj) January 31, 2018
There were plenty of '80s jokes.
The shorts didn’t win over all fans, either.
The jersey/shorts combination messes with my eyes. Yellow on top and black at the bottom. Court gets an A. Unis, not so much.— Frederick D. Jr. (@fredd036) January 31, 2018
The jerseys are great, but I think with the gradient continuing in shorts it's too much. Miami still the best for me though.— 3an (@3anHR) January 31, 2018
But this hot take might have won the night:
If the Jazz had been wearing the city jerseys then Jordan wouldn't have hit "the shot"— BYUNLVfan (@RunninRebDHumes) January 31, 2018
