Twelfth-grade students at the Jordan Academy for Technology and Careers watch as Unified Fire Authority firefighters and EMTs participate in an automobile accident simulation at the Riverton school on Friday. The simulation was part of a semesterlong class where high school students that finish have all the requirements needed to become EMTs. By the time the students are 18 years old, they can take the national test to be certified and start working in the field. Many of the students are offered internships or jobs with the Unified Fire Authority.
