SALT LAKE CITY — Justin Timberlake is coming to Salt Lake City.
Live Nation Entertainment announced Monday morning that Timberlake’s “The Man of the Woods” tour will stop at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City on Thursday, April 12.
Tickets go on sale online Monday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m. Box office will begin selling tickets on Jan. 23 at 9 a.m.
The tour’s name is based off of Timberlake’s new forthcoming album, “Man of the Woods,” which will be released on Feb. 2.
Timberlake will perform at Super Bowl LII’s halftime show on Feb. 4, as well.
Timberlake’s last tour was “The 20/20 Experience Tour,” which crossed the globe from 2013 and 2014.
The legendary pop star released his first single and music video from the new album last Friday. The song, called “Filthy,” immediately climbed the charts, reaching the No. 2 spot.
Many wondered why the song sounded so much like Timberlake’s previous work, despite rumors his new album would have country music vibes.
Timberlake previously said his new album was his most personal to date, according to The Huffington Post.
“This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I’ve ever written, where I’m from, and it’s personal,” he said.
