Letter: Obey the speed limit

I am appalled and disappointed at the lack of enforcing the speed limit on Utah roads and streets. I feel the same way with running red lights. It is so frustrating to try to stay within the posted speed limit with almost everyone around you going 10 to 15 miles per hour faster (or more).

It has been a long time since I saw a police officer on the roads and streets or stopping anyone for speeding going through an intersection after the light has turned red. Worst of all are the citizens who think it is OK to break the speed limit and run red lights. We should be ashamed of ourselves who jeopardize those who do obey the law. Also, it would also help with air pollution on our freeways if everyone would obey the speed limit.
