Karl Malone was the target of a death threat during the Utah Jazzs 122-115 victory over the New Jersey Nets, according to a source at Continental Airlines Arena.

If Malone knew of the threat, he sure didnt act like it. He scored a team-high 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in Utahs victory.

Also in attendance was Rony Seikaly, who spoke briefly with Jazz coach Jerry Sloan in the hallway. Sloan didnt seem to want to hear Seikalys explanation or why his trade to the Jazz didnt go through.

Former Ute Keith Van Horn scored 23 points.
