Somewhere between "a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state" and "the right of the people to keep and bear arms," is a place for legal compromise that could regulate our citizens' militia and not infringe on the right of responsible Americans to keep and bear arms. These laws would do much in maintaining domestic tranquility.
