Utah's Kevin Dyson was taken by the Tennessee Oilers as the No. 16 overall pick in the NFL draft.

Fellow Ute Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala made a controversial decision to forgo his senior season and went in the sixth round to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

BYU's Eric Bateman (New York Jets), Dustin Johnson (New York Jets) and Jason Andersen (New England Patriots) went in the fifth, sixth and seventh rounds, respectively.

Weber State's Cam Quayle was Mr. Irrelevant, the last pick of the draft.
