SALT LAKE CITY — Bradlee Anae was at the center of the action as the Utah Utes defense almost completely shut down the Arizona State Sun Devils offense on Saturday at Rice-Eccles Stadium, and on Monday he was recognized for his efforts.
Anae was named both the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week and Defensive Lineman of the Week following a game in which he finished with three sacks and a pass breakup as the then-13th-ranked Utes defeated the then-17th-ranked Sun Devils 21-3.
This marks the first time in his collegiate career that Anae has received Player of the Week honors.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Anae nearly doubled his season total in sacks on Saturday, as he now has seven, which is second in the Pac-12 and 14th nationally.
