Look, the impeachment inquiry hearings are important. There’s a lot for Congress to uncover in its investigation, and several details that both sides of the aisle hope to unveil to the public.
But it seems the public had some fun with Wednesday’s public hearings, turning the two testifying witnesses into a viral Twitter meme.
William B. Taylor Jr., the acting ambassador to Ukraine, and George Kent, the deputy assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, both testified before the House Intelligence Committee Wednesday morning for more than five hours. At one point, the two were asked if they wanted to take a break or recesses.
Their response? Well, here it is:

And leave it to Trevor Noah of “The Daily Show” to point out that the new meme has a connection with another viral Twitter meme.
