The 2019-20 high school girls basketball season gets underway this week for teams in Class 6A, 5A and 4A. To prepare fans for the upcoming season, the Deseret News has put together capsules for every team in 4A. Every coach was invited to participate and submit information.

The region rankings are based on coaches preseason projections.

There are eight new head basketball coaches in 4A this year: Kacee McArthur (Crimson Cliffs), Shelly Kidd-Thomas (Hurricane), Ben Luce (Pine View), Dan Roden (Snow Canyon), Chelsye Saulsberry (Ben Lomond), Craig Morris (Cedar Valley), Brittany Davies (Stansbury) and Tyrell Neal (Bear River).

Here are the 4A teams and players to watch this upcoming season.

1. Cedar City Reds
