SALT LAKE CITY — In a moment that will surely be remembered for a long, long time, former Weber State star Damian Lillard on Tuesday night hit a stepback 3-pointer from 37 feet out as time expired to lift the Portland Trail Blazers to a 118-115 win in Game 5 of their playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, eliminating the Thunder from the playoffs.

That might’ve been the coldest buzzer beater I’ve seen— Trevor Booker (@35_Fitz) April 24, 2019
He waved. He ended their season from a world away, and then he waved goodbye. That was one of the most incredible shots I’ve ever seen - maybe the most.— Sam Amick (@sam_amick) April 24, 2019
That’s one of the best buzzer beaters I’ve ever seen. Insane. I can’t believe it. Give the entire first round to Dame.— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) April 24, 2019

A few people who have been directly involved in athletics at Weber State also chimed in.
.@Dame_Lillard win ANOTHER series-clinching game-winner from deep. He may have ice in his veins, but it's definitely the color purple. #WeAreWeber #DameTime #LouderAndProuder pic.twitter.com/gLHtemDZ17— Weber State University (@WeberStateU) April 24, 2019
Dame! Wow. That’s how you rise up and compete when someone calls you out. What a series for Portland and Lillard.— Jay Hill (@CoachJayHill) April 24, 2019
But the tweet of the night goes to the Trail Blazers' social media team, as it sent a savage tweet referencing Thunder guard Russell Westbrook's frequent usage of "next question" during press conferences.
Speaking of press conferences, here is Lillard talking about the shot after the game.
And his wave to Thunder players.
