WEST BOUNTIFUL — A small plane landed in a field just east of Legacy Parkway on Monday after losing fuel pressure, police said.
Both pilots were uninjured, according to a Woods Cross police tweet. West Bountiful police and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the incident.
The Diamond DA40 four-seat plane was performing touch-and-go landings at the Skypark Airport in Woods Cross when the engine lost power, according to Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Allen Kenitzer. The aircraft landed at about 500 South near a fence that separates the field from the Legacy Parkway Trail just after 2 p.m.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
