SALT LAKE CITY— After a few weeks of teasing its release, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber have dropped their new single “I Don’t Care.”

It’s a boppy earworm and an anti-party anthem that some are already calling “The Song of the Summer.” But its moniker begs the question: Does anyone care?

According to social media, very much.

“The song is so cute,” @lonelykidlyv tweeted.

“I'm actually listening to Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber sing together right now,” @lepetitbiebertweeted. “This moment was my dream since 2013.”

“Man listen ... I wasn’t expecting to like this @justinbieber & #EdSheeran song this much,” Terrence Lee tweeted.

The lyrics of the song read in part, “I’m at a party I don’t wanna be at / And I don’t ever wear a suit and tie, yeah / Wonderin’ if I could sneak out the back.”

They continue, “With all these people all around I’m crippled with anxiety / But I’m told it’s where we’re supposed to be.”

Bieber has a history of dealing with anxiety, and his lyrics in the song seem pretty relatable to some fans.

You can listen to “I Don’t Care” on Spotify and Apple Music.
