Warning: Major “Avengers: Endgame” spoilers ahead.
SALT LAKE CITY — One of the most bittersweet moments in “Avengers: Endgame” is seeing an elderly Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) who has retired Captain America’s shield.
If you’ve seen the film, you’ll remember that Rogers went back in time to return the Infinity Stones and ended up staying there to live a whole lifetime with Peggy Carter. By the time we see him at the end of the film, he has aged significantly.
Evans took to Twitter Friday to share a behind-the-scenes look at his elderly Steve Rogers makeup from “Endgame.”
“Halfway there,” he captioned the photo (his look isn’t complete in the photo).
While seeing an elderly Steve Rogers in “Endgame” was bittersweet, seeing Evans in his elderly Rogers look is plain uncomfortable for a lot of fans.

A few people are just realizing that it was Evans in that final “Endgame” shot.

Maybe the second half of Evans’ look will calm the internet down.
