SALT LAKE CITY — She’s back and appears to be badder than ever.

Monday, the first trailer for the “Maleficent” sequel “Mistress of Evil” dropped online, and it shows off Angelina Jolie’s evil fairy facing off with Michelle Pfeiffer’s Queen Ingrith.

According to Disney’s trailer description, the film takes place several years after the original “Maleficient” left off and “continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.”

Fans have been all over Maleficient’s new look in the film and her meetup with Pfeiffer’s evil queen.

“Evil, but make it fashion,” @moua_chris tweeted.

“Nothing but respect for my Maleficient,” @alrightag tweeted.

“I’m sooooo glad they’re going the evil route with Maleficent in the sequel. Hopefully she’s no longer the ‘misunderstood’ fairy from the first film. Also can we talk about that bird skull collar? ... it’s amazing,” @keltoncfx tweeted.

“I can't handle the battle of the cheekbones between these two legends,” @MsTwistedNerve tweeted. “'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' may very well be just a 2-hour staring contest between Angelina Jolie and Michelle Pfeiffer and I'd still watch it in 3D.”

"Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" hits theaters Oct. 18.
