Photos: Utah's Hogle Zoo celebrating railroad's 150th

Two C.P. Huntington locomotives at Utah's Hogle Zoo, situated nose to nose, replicate the iconic photo of May 10, 1869, when the transcontinental railroad was completed at Promontory Summit. Visitors are invited to snap a picture and then take a peek at another icon of the American West — three bison that have arrived at the zoo for the summer. The zoo is located at 2600 Sunnyside Ave., Salt Lake City. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Admission during the summer season is $18.95 for those 13 to 64; $16.95 for those 65 and older; and $14.95 for children 3 to 12. Children 2 and younger get in free.
