SALT LAKE CITY — A man who allegedly drew pictures of child pornography has been arrested by the Utah Attorney General's Office.
Jesus Gabriel Nielsen, 48, was arrested Monday for investigation of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
The investigation began in January when Nielsen was detected allegedly downloading child pornography, according to a Salt Lake County Jail report. On Monday, members of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force served a search warrant on Nielsen's residence.
"Nielsen admitted to viewing this content for over 20 years. He denied physically touching a child," the report states. "During the execution of the search warrant, thousands of files (images and videos) were found.'
In addition, investigators also found "numerous sketch pads of nude prepubescent females,' according to the report.
"Nielsen admitted to drawing these pictures to 'get rid of my urges,'" the report states.
The attorney general's office requested a high bail amount of $250,000 "due to Nielsen sketching the child sexual exploitation material and the thousands of files found on Nielsen's devices of children as young as an infant," the report states.
