First impressions from the first week of 6A football

It's not too late to sign up for Deseret News high school Grid Picks

SOUTH JORDAN — In this episode of Deseret News Rewind, Dusty Litster and Dane Stewart discuss their takes on the first-ever week of 6A football where top-dogs East, Bingham and American Fork all got off to strong starts. Both Litster and Stewart were amazed by Braedon Wissler's 150-yard, three-touchdown performance in the Miners' win over Orem.

Both are excited for the second game between two Utah heavyweights facing off between Bingham's power and East's speed this coming Friday night. Stewart expects Ben Ford to receive Division I offers by the end of this season.

Stewart also discussed how both Lone Peak's victory over Herriman and how despite losing key players and it's head coach, the Knights picked up where they left off this season.
