Daughter of BYU assistant coach Reno Mahe in hospital after accident at home

The 3-year-old daughter of BYU running backs coach Reno Mahe was flown to Primary Children's Hospital after a tragic accident Tuesday morning, according to Mahe's Facebook page.

Elsie Mahe was playing with a friend when she got the cord of some blinds wrapped around her neck, Christine Pulsipher wrote on a public Facebook group page updating the situation. According to the post, her mother Sunny, a former BYU volleyball player, performed CPR.

"I wanna thank everyone for their prayers and love! We have some awesome family and friends who are always there for us," Reno Mahe wrote on his Facebook page.

A GoFundMe account to help the family was set up by Jeremy Roberts. In an update Tuesday night, Roberts wrote that Elsie Mahe is currently sedated and will stay that way to allow her body to rest over the next 24-48 hours.

"My heart is broken for this amazing family. They are loving and giving. Please contribute what you can. They've given so much to our community, this is an opportunity for us to give back," Roberts wrote.
