SALT LAKE CITY — Disneyland guests had to cover themselves in shade after the Disneyland Railroad broke down, forcing evacuations and a stranded engine, according to The Orange County Register.
The Disneyland Railroad broke down last weekend, which forced riders from passenger cars to evacuate the ride. The engine was left on a trestle that overlooked the entrance to the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge land.
Disneyland officials told The Orange County Register that the Ward Kimball steam engine experienced a blown axle. Passenger cars were separated and pulled back to New Orleans Square.
Multiple social media posts highlighted the controversy of the blown axle.
As Sam Bigelow writes, Lego recently announced a Disney train and station building set that is pretty similar to the Disneyland entranceway. The new set comes with 2,900 pieces and costs $330.
