SALT LAKE CITY — Upon his arrival in Salt Lake City in 2017, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell wasted little time endearing himself to local fans.
Two years later, after winning the hearts of Jazz fans everywhere, his fanbase has officially gone international.
During warmups ahead of Team USA’s exhibition contest against Team Canada, played early Monday morning in Sydney, Australia, Mitchell met one of his most devoted international fans, one who was decked out in Spider-Man gear, no less.
The young Mitchell supporter was filmed rebounding the ball for the Jazz guard during shoot-around, an experience he won’t likely forget any time soon.
The youngster wasn’t the only Mitchell fan revealed Monday, either.
While conducting interviews with the Los Angeles Rams, ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry snapped a photo of running back Todd Gurley showing his support and fandom for Spida.

There was more to the story, however, as reported by team staff writer Stu Jackson.

To which Mitchell had his own response.

ESPN released its NBA preseason predictions: Our experts’ picks for 2019-20, which addressed such topics as who will win MVP in 2019-20, along with Rookie of the Year and which team is the best bet to bring home the Larry O’Brien trophy.
While no individual Jazz player made it into the MVP or Rookie of the Year prediction sections, Utah was picked to finish fourth in the Western Conference, behind the Denver Nuggets, LA Clippers and Houston Rockets.
Even better, the Jazz were given the seventh best odds to win an NBA championship next season.
