SALT LAKE CITY — Real Salt Lake forward Corey Baird has had a strong August with three goals, and he’s being rewarded with another call-up to the United States men’s national soccer team.

After RSL plays the Portland Timbers on Saturday, Baird will join the USMNT in preparation for friendlies against Mexico and Uruguay on Sept. 6 and Sept. 10, respectively.

This is Baird’s third call-up to the senior team, all of which have come in 2019. The 2018 Major League Soccer Rookie of the Year, Baird has three total caps for the U.S.

Baird has four goals total for RSL during the 2019 season. The club currently sits in a tie with Seattle Sounders FC for second in the MLS Western Conference
