The FIBA World Cup in China certainly didn’t go the right way for Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell and Team USA, but Mitchell and the rest of the squad finished on a good note Saturday morning.

In the seventh-place game against Poland, Mitchell led Team USA in scoring with 16 points in an 87-74 victory. He added 10 assists, three rebounds and a steal in 32 minutes of play.

Team USA built a 14-point lead by the end of the first quarter and stayed steady throughout. Poland cut the deficit to seven a few times in the fourth quarter, but that’s as close as it got.

On Sunday morning, Jazz forward Joe Ingles, former University of Utah star Andrew Bogut and the rest of the Australian team will square off against Jazz center Rudy Gobert and France in the third-place game, with tip time scheduled for 2 a.m. MT.

Former Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio and Spain will face Argentina in the gold-medal game, which is scheduled to start at 6 a.m. MT.
