Las Vegas pro Taylor Montgomery won the Sand Hollow Open for the second straight year, shooting a three-round score of 15-under-par 201 at the Sand Hollow Golf Course near St. George to defeat Steven Kupcho of Colorado by four shots.

The 24-year-old former UNLV golfer added a final-round 67 to his previous rounds of 69 and 68 to outdistance the 120-player field and capture the $20,000 first prize. The victory gives Montgomery an automatic entry into next year’s Korn Ferry Tour Utah Championship at Oakridge Country Club.

David Cooke, Derek Fribbs and Kolton Lapa tied for third at 207, while Hayden Christensen captured low amateur honors and tied for sixth at 208.

Former BYU golfer Patrick Fishburn, who just earned exempt status on next year’s Korn Ferry Tour with his McKenzie Tour finish last week, was the low Utah professional with a 210 total and a tied for eighth.
