Overnight I-15 closures coming in Lehi

LEHI — Starting Tuesday, northbound I-15 between Lehi Main Street and 2100 North will be closed nightly through Saturday for a construction project, the Utah Department of Transportation announced, urging drivers to plan ahead.

Drivers will be detoured at Lehi Main Street and return to the freeway via State Street and 2100 North, from 11 p.m. through 4:30 a.m. the following day, Tuesday through Thursday. On Friday night, the freeway will close at 11:59 p.m. and reopen Saturday morning at 6 a.m., UDOT said.

The shutdowns will allow crews to place half the beams needed for a new bridge, part of plans to build 17 bridges along a four-mile section of I-15. UDOT is adding two lanes in each direction on the freeway in Lehi by late 2020, redesigning interchanges at state Route 92 and 2100 North.

Construction schedules are subject to change. Updated information can be found on the UDOT Traffic website, or by using the UDOT Traffic app.
