Series: This will be the 76th meeting in 116 years between the two programs, with the Rams leading the all-time series 34-39-2. Utah State won last year’s meeting in Fort Collins, Colo. in wildly dramatic fashion, 29-24.

THE STAKES

For Utah State: The Aggies are looking to start 2-0 in Mountain West Conference play for the second consecutive season after they failed to do so in both 2016 and 2017.

For Colorado State: Playing their MWC opener, the Rams are still looking for their first win against an FBS opponent in 2019, as their only victory so far has come against FCS Western Illinois.

THE TRENDS

For Utah State: The Aggies have won eight straight games at home, dating back to the 2017 season. All eight of those victories have come by double digits.

For Colorado State: The Rams have won their last two MWC openers after losing the previous five.
