SALT LAKE CITY — Each week the Deseret News collects high school football stats from around the state, with over 80% of the coaches submitting their offensive and defensive stats each week.
Here’s a look back at some headliner performances from Week 3:
Daniel Yamada, Lone Peak — Running back carried the ball 30 times for 162 yards and two scores to power Lone Peak to the 41-21 road victory win over Narbonne, California.
Jackson Dart, Roy — Completed 23 of 30 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns — including two TDs in the fourth quarter as Roy rallied for the 37-31 win over rival Fremont.
Devin Downing, American Fork — Even though it came in a heartbreaking 35-34 loss at Arbor View, Nevada, this senior receiver still had a monster game with eight catches for 245 yards and three touchdowns.
Austin Bell, Corner Canyon — Had another huge game in Corner Canyon’s 56-28 blowout win over Bingham as he racked up 175 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries while also adding 84 yards and a score on four receptions.
Jarrett Henriksen, Murray — Helped Murray overcome a slow start to roll past new school Cedar Valley 49-21 as he completed 16 of 29 passes for 255 yards and five touchdowns.
Matt Mason, Payson — Recorded nine tackles and also added two interceptions as Payson continued its strong start to the season with a 17-7 win at Richfield.
Kaden Holt, Spanish Fork — Completed 17 of 32 passes for 249 yards and four touchdowns as the Dons used a big second half to pull away from Cyprus for the 34-20 win.
Austin Mortensen, Springville — Scored all three Springville touchdowns, including the game-winning seven-yard TD reception with four seconds left to lead the Red Devils to the 20-14 win over Bountiful. He also added a pick-six in the fourth quarter.
Jacob Lundin, Green Canyon — Quarterback had a monster day on the ground with 21 carries for 272 yards and two touchdowns, and he also threw for 126 yards and two more scores in Green Canyon’s convincing 39-16 win over Stansbury.
Brady Baumann, Park City — Recorded eight tackles and also added a fourth-quarter pick-six as Park City flexed its defensive muscles in the 33-16 win over West to stay unbeaten.
Nukuluve Helu, Tooele — Powered Tooele to the 30-24 win against Minico, Idaho, at Holt Arena in Pocatello as he carried the ball 26 times for 167 yards and a touchdown.
Duce Anderson, Mountain View — Completed 19 of 35 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns and also rushed for 38 yards as the Bruins handily beat visiting Taylorsville 47-14 to improve to 3-0.
Trevor Jarrett, Morgan — Had a very productive day on the ground with nine carries for 49 yards and three touchdowns as Morgan rolled to the 49-0 win over Ben Lomond to remain undefeated.
Kian Conway, San Juan — Workhorse back carried the ball 16 times for 144 yards and four touchdowns — including three in the first half — as San Juan jumped all over Bayfield, Colorado, for the 42-13 victory.
Nathan Johnson, American Leadership — Recorded 11 tackles and two interceptions defensively and then offensively rushed for 65 yards to help American Leadership rally for the 23-20 win over Emery.
Tyler Taukei’aho, Manti — Helped Manti grind out a 12-7 win at Grantsville on both sides of the ball. He carried the ball 14 times for 61 yards and then provided the big play defensively with a 73-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in the first quarter as he finished with four tackles.
Adam Holt, Enterprise — Recorded eight tackles and two sacks to lead Enterprise to the 35-12 win over visiting Lincoln County, Nevada.
Devin Hatch, Monticello — Only completed five passes, but four of them went for touchdowns as Monticello rolled by Dolores, Colorado, for the nonregion win.
Kaleb Barney, Beaver — Barney led Beaver to the 32-0 win over South Summit on both sides of the ball. Offensively he rushed for 75 yards and two scores on 16 carries while defensively he led the Beavers with seven tackles and two sacks.
Bret Beebe, Milford — Caught 13 passes for 198 yards and two scores as Milford slugged out a 58-35 win over visiting Ogden.
