Live coverage: Utah State blows past Stony Brook 62-7 in Aggies’ home opener

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah State dominated from the get-go in beating FCS opponent Stony Brook 62-7 in the Aggies’ home opener Saturday night at Maverik Stadium.

The Aggies piled up 727 yards of total offense and six different players scored touchdowns for USU. Jaylen Warren, the junior college transfer from Snow College, had two rushing touchdowns and 105 yards on just nine carries for his second straight 100-yard game.

Deven Thompkins also scored twice, once on a 45-yard punt return and later on a 10-yard touchdown catch, as the Aggies moved to 1-1 on the year.
