When the New England Patriots posted their inactive list for Sunday night’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, one name was a curveball — former BYU Cougar Kyle Van Noy.
Van Noy was not listed on the team’s injury report leading up to the game, but was inactive. It turns out that Van Noy’s wife, Marissa, had gone into labor and Van Noy was going to be by her side.
Kyle Van Noy is inactive tonight because his wife is in labor.

Van Noy also kept an eye on the game, tweeting out that he was watching his Patriots as they rolled to a 33-3 victory over the Steelers.
Van Noy offered his props to Tom Brady, Josh Gordon, Devin and Jason McCourty and the entire Patriots defense.

See where Utah and BYU ended up in the Wall Street Journal’s “Grid of Shame”.
The Wall Street Journal calls it the "Grid of Shame," but @Utah_Football has a lot to be proud of with its top-right position on this axis, which measures a team's performance on the field and its behavior off.
