FISH LAKE NATIONAL FOREST — One person was killed and another is in critical condition after a single-car rollover on SR 132 Thursday morning.

Around 8:42 a.m. Thursday, the driver of a 1999 Ford Explorer was traveling east on state Route 132 near Nephi Canyon, which is in Fish Lake National Forest, according to a news release from the Utah Department of Public Safety.

The driver reportedly drove off the right side of the road and then overcorrected, veering back onto the roadway and crossing both travel lanes before driving off the shoulder on the westbound side, the release said. The explorer rolled when it went off the road.

The vehicle rolled several times before coming to a stop on its roof, the release said. Both the driver and passenger were wearing seat belts, but the driver, a man whose identity and age were not released, died at the scene. The passenger sustained life-threatening injuries, and was flown by helicopter to a hospital, the release said.
