“Hawkeye” will debut on Disney+ Wednesday with the show’s first two episodes, bringing us back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What is ‘Hawkeye’ about?

“Hawkeye” is a new Disney+ series from Marvel Studios that centers around young Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) and Avengers veteran Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), who find themselves on the same team as they combat local crime in New York City during the holiday season. Barton hopes to fend off the baddies before returning home to his family for Christmas, while Bishop aims to learn some helpful tips about being a superhero.

  • The series cast includes Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. It is directed by Rhys Thomas and the directing duo Bert and Bertie.
