The Aggies increased their winning streak to six games with a 93-63 win over NAIA Carroll College Monday night at the Spectrum in Logan.
Here are three keys to Utah State’s victory:
- Utah State opened the game with an 11-0 burst and never looked back, building a 24-point lead in the first half on the strength of hot perimeter shooting (7 for 14 from 3-point range) and dominant rebounding (23-8).
- After a rather rough outing against UT Arlington last Saturday, senior forward Brandon Horvath returned to his early-season form, scoring 20 points in just 21 minutes.
- The Aggie bench produced a big boost once again, with freshman swingman Zee Hamoda scoring a career-high 15 points, and junior guard Sean Bairstow putting up eight points in his first action of the season after dealing with an arm injury.
