Will Bo-Katan return?
- “I honestly wish that I could tell you that I knew something. I really don’t know,” Sackhoff told Looper. “I know where we ended and that’s all that I have. I can only use my imagination and hope that we see some pretty cool stuff, but I have no idea.”
Sackhoff said she would love to explore Bo-Katan’s leadership skills since she doesn’t seem like a typical leader. She’s been known as a warrior, not a leader, according to ComicBook.com. Seeing why she can stand at the head of a group of people could be a fun storyline, Sackhoff said.
- “So how do you take a person who is trained as a warrior, who never thought that they would have to lead nor wanted to lead, and get them to a place where they have to lead because it’s for the people? And I find that to be so interesting, because I think that she is a warrior at heart. That’s who she is. That’s who she’s always been, and we haven’t seen that part of her yet,” Sackhoff said. “I want to see why she thinks she’s the right ruler, and how far she’ll go, and what that looks like.”
Bo-Katan on ‘The Mandalorian’
Bo-Katan — who made her debut as an animated character in “The Clone Wars” series — first appeared in Episode 3 of Season 2 of “The Mandalorian.” In that episode, Bo-Katan and other Mandalorians team up with Mando (Pedro Pascal) to take on the empire, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
Bo-Katan was a former leader of the Mandalorians, who led a group called the Nite Owls. Her sister, Satine, ruled over the planet of Mandalore. She later worked with Sith Lord Maul and his brother, Savage Opress, to take Mandalore from Satine. Maul killed Satine, which made Bo-Katan change her mind about working with Maul.
Later, Bo-Katan teamed up with Ahsoka Tano in the Clone Wars to take back Mandalore from Maul.
