Disney+ will look to honor the upcoming Star Wars Day — or May the Fourth — on Tuesday by adding new fan art to its streaming service.
According to StarWars.com, Disney has asked fan artists to create new pieces for Disney+. These art concepts will be added on the “Star Wars” landing page on the Disney+ streaming service.
- One of the fan art pieces has been released already. It comes from Zi Xu, a poster illustrator and cover artist. It shows many of the “Star Wars” heroes together, including many from the prequel, sequel and original trilogies.

Per StarWars.com, more fan art will be added to Disney+ from May 4 through May 9.
Last year, Disney+ took added a number of original concept art to the “Star Wars” pages to celebrate the franchise, which I wrote about for the Deseret News. The newly added artwork showed original concept paintings that were used in the storyboarding process of the original “Star Wars” film.
- Disney+ said: “For the first time, fans will be able to navigate to a dedicated brand page directly from carousel art.”
