For many, May 4 is a day to revisit a galaxy far, far away.

It’s also a day when you can get a lot of free stuff.

The first several days in May are packed with celebration — everything from “Star Wars” Day to Teacher Appreciation Week to Nurse Appreciation Week to Mother’s Day.

Here’s a breakdown of some of the top deals and offers available this week.

How to get a free McFlurry at McDonald’s

McDonald’s has a new McFlurry flavor, and the fast-food chain is giving people the chance to try it out for free.

On Tuesday, customers who have the McDonald’s app can get a regular size Caramel Brownie McFlurry for free — no purchase necessary, Business Insider reported. The new flavor, which McDonald’s released yesterday, features vanilla soft serve mixed with brownie pieces and caramel sauce.

McDonald’s said the special deal is a peace offering of sorts for the confusion the McFlurry spoon has caused customers over the years.

  • “Our McFlurry spoon is misunderstood, and every true McDonald’s fan understands the struggle of confusing it for a straw, the chain said in a statement. “While we can’t change the iconic hollow spoon (a key piece of the mixing process), we can help ease the sting of your facepalm upon figuring out how to use it.”

The Caramel Brownie McFlurry is available for a limited time, according to a news release.

How to get free crunchy tacos at Taco Bell

According to Taco Bell, the moon on Tuesday night will resemble a taco. To celebrate the arrival of the “Taco Moon,” the fast-food chain is giving customers free crunchy tacos.

Customers who order in-person at Taco Bell can get their free taco at night, between 8 and 11:59 p.m. People who order online or through the app have access to a free taco all day Tuesday, according to Taco Bell’s website.

How to get a free large drink or slush at Sonic Drive-In

To honor teachers nationwide, Sonic is giving customers a free large drink or slush with any purchase. Customers ordering online or via the Sonic app can use the promo code TEACHERS to claim the deal. The offer — which is available to anyone with the Sonic app — is available through May 9, USA Today reported.
