Warning: The following article contains spoilers for Episode 1 of “Loki.”

“Loki” — the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe project to be released on Disney+ — will make its debut Wednesday with its first episode. But do the first or second episodes have any post-credit scenes?

Marvel’s post-credit scenes

Marvel has been using post-credit scenes for its movies since “Iron Man” in 2008. Each of the post-credit scenes offers a hint or clue as to what is coming next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, often setting up the next film or the next few films with a just brief scene.

Does ‘Loki’ have any post-credit scenes?

  • The first and second episodes do not have any post-credit scenes.
  • However, the two episodes end on massive cliffhangers, which will make you want to see the next episode sooner rather than later.

Marvel, Disney+ and post-credit scenes

It warrants a reminder that Marvel’s Disney+ shows have taken some time to add post-credit scenes.

We didn’t see a post-credit scene for “WandaVision” until the seventh episode of the series. The post-credit scenes in Episode 7 and Episode 8 were building up the next episode each time. But the finale’s two post-credit scenes put us on a path toward “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and “Captain Marvel 2.”

“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” didn’t have a post-credit scene until Episode 5 when we saw John Walker (Wyatt Russell) building a new Captain America shield.

We saw another post-credit scene in the finale, which appeared to set up a sequel series with Falcon (now Captain America) and the Winter Soldier.

“Loki” is streaming exclusively on Disney+ starting June 9.
