The 5A boys golf regular season came to a close on Monday with the final region tournaments of the season. The focus now shifts to the state tournament at Spanish Oaks Golf Course next Monday and Tuesday.
Woods Cross, Skyline, Stansbury, Lehi and Spanish Fork each won their respective region titles. Skyline is the defending state champion after dominating last year’s state tournament with a two-day team score of 35-under.
The five region medalists are Bonneville’s Parker Bunn, Skyline’s Peter Kim, Stansbury’s Braydon Griffith, Jordan’s Preston Cheney and Spanish Fork’s Jackson Rhees.
Bunn finished with the top scoring average in 5A at 67.0
