The 6A boys golf regular season came to a close on Tuesday with the final region tournaments of the season. The focus now shifts to the 6A state tournament at Davis Park Golf Course next Monday and Tuesday.
Fremont, Roy, Herriman and Lone Peak each won their respective region titles. Lone Peak is the defending state champion as it beat Davis by four strokes last year.
The four region medalists are Layton’s David Liechty, Roy’s Caden Harris, Herriman’s Elliot Bond and Lone Peak’s Cooper Jones.
Jones finished with the top scoring average in 6A at 67.4.
