The R-rated "Sex in the City" movie spin-off had an impressive opening and managed to knock the fourth Indiana Jones movie from its No. 1 perch after only one week -- despite the fact that its audience was largely female. However, it made nearly half of its weekend take in the first day, which suggests it may not have long "legs."

Speaking of "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," it has already crossed the $200 million plateau and, together with "Iron Man" (well on its way to $300 million), ensures that distributor Paramount Pictures will have a terrific summer.
