Mariah Carey’s popular Christmas tune “All I Want for Christmas is You” just topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time, Billboard reports.

What’s going on: Carey topped the charts for her 1994 hit. The Hot 100 includes all U.S. streaming, radio airplay and sales information, according to Billboard.

  • This is the longest it has taken a song to climb up the entire chart, according to the New York Post.
  • “All I Want for Christmas is You” is now the first holiday song to make it to No. 1 in 60 years. The last song was “The Chipmunk Song,” according to Billboard.
  • The song is Carey’s 19th No. 1 hit. This means she has more solo No. 1 singles on the Hot 100 than any other solo artist, according to Entertainment Weekly. She trails only The Beatles, who have 20.

Reaction: Carey celebrated the achievement on Twitter with a crying face, heart, lamb and Christmas tree emoji.

  • Carey: “We did it.”
