Porsche has designed a new “Star Wars” ship that won’t make an appearance in the upcoming “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”

What’s going on: Porsche has designed a new ship called the Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus. It was developed to simply promote “Rise of Skywalker.” And that’s about it.

  • The ship won’t be available in any film or form of media.
  • The ship was designed to fit the “Star Wars” brand.
  • “The starfighter is exactly what it sounds like. It’s what happens when (you) give an iconic manufacturer license to create a new product from an iconic franchise. Make no mistake, it’s a vehicle that won’t look out of place in the Star Wars universe but Porsche naturally had to put in some elements that would let its fans know the idea didn’t come from an alien galaxy far, far away,” according to SlashGear.
  • A 5-foot model will be available for viewing at the film’s premiere in Los Angeles.

Trailer: See a video of the ship below.

Similar: The ship has a set of lights that look like those of the Porsche Taycan electric sedan, according to Fox News.

  • The rear grille is also like ones seen on the Porsche 911 Turbo, too.
