There’s a “new” superhero featured in a trailer released by Sony Pictures on Tuesday, according to Entertainment Weekly.

His name? Night Monkey.

The trailer is actually a promotion of the upcoming DVD release of Sony’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” due to be released October 1, says EW. But in this version of events, the true hero of the story is Night Monkey, a persona that Peter Parker adopts in the Spider-Man film.

The trailer, set to dramatic music, features a voiceover from Peter Parker actor Tom Holland, saying, “It’s time for the truth to be out there.”

Various clips from the film are featured, including “Night Monkey’s” take-down of an “elemental” lava monster, according to EW.

Towards the end of the video, the words, “The night belongs to the monkey,” flash onto the screen.

According to a report from Comicbook.com, the “iconic” suit that Peter Parker wears as Night Monkey came from various inspirations.

“It’s inspired by a bunch of different looks in the comics,” Eric Carroll, executive producer of “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” told Comicbook.com. Carroll cited Noir and Big Time from the comic books but mentioned that designers were also influenced by the looks of Spider-Man’s fellow Avengers, Hawkeye and Black Widow.
